Previously, he cofounded BuzzLogic, was a founding executive at ON24, where he was editor-in-chief, and served as SoftBank’s board member at Electric Classifieds Inc. and Match.com from 1996 to 1998. His ZD Net blog, Rational Rants, ran for several years, and he was a reporter, editor, editor-in-chief and columnist for various ZD, Seybold and financial publications during the 1990s.
